Yesterday, we held our second Court Captain Training session, with six participants. A big thank you to everyone who took part! Through role-playing exercises, we explored the rules, equipment, and the fundamentals of stroke execution. When we simply play for ourselves, we don't always think about the details. But when we have to explain a rule, describe the equipment, or demonstrate how to execute a stroke, we need to organize our knowledge and put it into words. In the process, we learn a great deal ourselves. I believe this makes the training a valuable learning experience for everyone. Our goal is to build a broad pickleball community, not just for competitive players, but also for the many people who simply want to enjoy the sport recreationally. Growing the base of the pyramid is essential. The wider and stronger that foundation becomes, the better it is for the development of the entire sport. Thank you again to all six participants!
