嵐の前の静けさ、そして嵐の後の静けさ。The quiet before the storm… and the quiet after the storm.
土曜日と今日（火曜日）の、比較的小規模な会場でのピックルボール練習会の写真です。
その間の日曜日と月曜日には、もう少し大きな会場でも練習会を開催しました。そして本来であれば、大きな大会も予定していたのですが、残念ながら台風の接近により中止となりました。安全第一。また次の大会があります！ということで、土曜日はまさに「嵐の前の静けさ」、そして今日は「嵐の後の静けさ」といったところでしょうか。そして写真を見て、もう一つ嬉しいことが。ついにエアコンが設置されました！ この会場は私たちが利用している中でも小さい方で、コートは2面だけですが、暑い夏の体育館でプレーしてきたことを考えると、これは本当にありがたい一歩です。台風が来ても去っても、ピックルボールは続きます！
Two photos from two of our smaller pickleball sessions — Saturday and today, Tuesday. In between, we had sessions on Sunday and Monday at some of our bigger venues, and we were also supposed to hold a big tournament. Unfortunately, with the typhoon approaching, we had to cancel that one. Safety first — there will always be another tournament. So Saturday turned out to be the quiet before the storm, and today perhaps the quiet after the storm. One particularly nice thing to see in these photos is the new air conditioning. This is one of the smallest venues we use, with only two courts, but after some very hot summers playing indoors, having AC installed is a very welcome sight — and a good beginning! Typhoon or no typhoon, the pickleball goes on.
