国境なきパドル

この一週間あまりの間に、鎌倉の私たちのクラブで不思議な出来事が続きました。偶然か、それとも導かれたように、中国、イラン、ロシア、スイス、そしてアメリカからプレーヤーたちが練習に参加してくれました。全員が同じ日に集まったわけではありませんが、時には一緒に、時には別々に、それでもほんの短い期間に次々と訪れてくれたのです。まるで見えない力が人々をつないでいるかのようでした。

そして、このような激動の時代だからこそ、その出会いは一層特別に感じられます。古くから文化の交差点であり「思索の場」として知られる鎌倉で、再び国境なき交流が私たちのクラブで実現しました。寺院や歴史に囲まれたこの街では、政治的な緊張は影をひそめ、そこに残るのはピックルボールの純粋な楽しさ——ラリー、笑顔、そして国境を越えて生まれる友情です。

In just the past week or so, something remarkable has happened within our club in Kamakura. By coincidence — or maybe a touch of serendipity — our practices have welcomed players from China, Iran, Russia, Switzerland, and the United States. Some played together, others came on different days, yet all within a short span of time, as if a hidden force were bringing people together.

In these turbulent times, that makes it even more meaningful. Kamakura, long known as a crossroads of culture and a place of reflection, has once again become a setting where differences fade. Within our club, politics and tensions give way to the simple joy of Pickleball — rallies, smiles, and friendships that cross every border.
