大船ヴィクトリアスポーツでピックルボール体験会を開催

昨日11時から17時まで、大船のヴィクトリアスポーツ店内でピックルボールの体験会を実施しました。想像以上に多くの方に足を止めていただき、来場者の約9割が子ども連れの若いファミリーだったのがとても印象的でした。ピックルボールの将来を考えるうえで、大きな可能性を感じさせる一日だったと思います。

これまでも子どもたちへのアプローチは意識してきましたが、今回の反応を通じて、より明確に「場」や「体験の形」を設計することの重要性を改めて実感しました。今後は、キッズ向けに特化した体験会やセッションも検討していきたいと考えています。

そして何より、昨日ボランティアとして協力してくれたクラブメンバーの皆さんに心から感謝します。非常に手応えのある体験会となり、こうした取り組みは今後もぜひ継続していきたいと思います。

Hosted a Pickleball demo at Victoria Sports Ofuna

Yesterday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., we held a pickleball demonstration inside the Victoria Sports store in Ofuna. The turnout exceeded our expectations, and what stood out most was that nearly 90 percent of the participants were young families with children. That, in itself, is a very encouraging sign for the future growth of the sport.

We have long been thinking about how to engage younger players, and yesterday’s response highlighted the importance of choosing the right setting and format. Going forward, we would like to explore sessions specifically designed for children and families.

Most importantly, a sincere thank you to all the club members who volunteered their time and energy to make this event possible. The positive response gives us strong motivation to repeat this kind of initiative in the future.
